Marvels of Egypt is the brand name under which a licensed Egyptian tour guide provides and arranges travel experiences in Egypt together with licensed tour guides, transportation providers, tourism companies and other authorized service providers where required. We respect your privacy and only collect and use personal information where it is reasonably necessary to communicate with you, arrange your booking and provide the services you request.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on your inquiry or booking, we may collect personal information such as:

• telephone or WhatsApp number;

• email address;

• travel dates;

• number of travelers;

• requested destinations, tours and experiences;

• hotel, accommodation or pickup information;

• itinerary and travel preferences; and

• other information you voluntarily provide in connection with your inquiry or booking.

We do not intentionally request personal information that is unnecessary for providing the requested service. If additional information is required for a particular tour, accommodation, transportation service, permit or other arrangement, we may ask you to provide it.

2. How We Collect Information

At present, bookings are not made directly through our website. Tour inquiries and bookings are handled through direct communication with us. Our website currently does not provide customer accounts, an online booking system or a contact form.

5. Payments

Deposits may currently be made through Wise or PayPal. Remaining balances may be paid according to the payment arrangements agreed for the individual booking, including cash on arrival where applicable. When you make a payment through a third-party payment provider, your payment information is processed by that provider according to its own terms and privacy practices. Marvels of Egypt does not directly collect or store complete credit or debit card details through this website.

6. WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook

Marvels of Egypt uses a dedicated WhatsApp Business account for customer communication. If you contact us through WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook, the information you provide through those services may also be processed by the company operating the relevant platform according to its own privacy policy. Our website contains links to our social media profiles. These are external links and not embedded social media feeds.

7. Website Hosting and Technical Information

Our website is created and hosted using Hostinger. When you visit the website, Hostinger or other infrastructure providers involved in delivering the website may process certain technical information necessary to operate, secure and maintain the website.

Depending on the technical circumstances, this may include information such as:

• IP address;

• operating system;

• access times; and

• technical or security logs.

Such information may be processed for purposes such as website delivery, security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting and technical maintenance.

We currently do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, Hotjar or similar analytics or advertising tracking tools on our website. We have not added custom tracking code to the website. Our website is hosted and operated using Hostinger. Hostinger may process certain technical information necessary to provide, secure and maintain the website and its infrastructure. If we introduce analytics, advertising, tracking technologies or other tools that require consent in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and implement an appropriate consent mechanism where required.

9. Data Retention

We do not intend to keep customer personal information longer than reasonably necessary. Information used solely to organize and provide a tour may be deleted after the tour has been completed and the information is no longer needed. Certain booking, payment, transaction or communication records may need to be retained for a longer period where reasonably necessary or required for accounting, legal, dispute-resolution or other legitimate record-keeping purposes. When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we aim to delete or securely dispose of it.

10. Marketing Communications

We currently use customer contact information primarily for inquiries, bookings and the provision of requested services. We do not currently operate an email newsletter or routinely send promotional emails or WhatsApp marketing messages to customers. If we introduce direct marketing communications in the future, we will request appropriate permission where required and provide recipients with an appropriate way to stop receiving such communications.

11. Photographs and Videos

Booking a tour with Marvels of Egypt does not automatically mean that you consent to photographs or videos of you being used for marketing purposes. Where we wish to use identifiable guest photographs or videos on our website, Instagram, Facebook or other promotional channels, we will request permission separately. Consent may be provided in writing, including through WhatsApp or email.

However, no method of electronic communication, transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
